Low background value - means that the cleaning verification swab itself has very little contamination, that is, a very clean swab.
Low particle generation - The material of the cleaning verification swab is critical to ensure that no particles are left on the wiped surface, which will further contaminate the wiped surface and affect the cleaning verification effect.


The notched, breakable swab handle allows the swab tip to be easily placed in the vial to minimize handling and avoid the risk of contamination.
After sampling the surface, the swab is broken along the pre-engraved indentation on the shank in preparation for the subsequent use of the swab tip for assay analysis. To break the swab stem cleanly, the notch on the stem should be aligned with the edge of the vial mouth. This minimizes the use of scissors in highly clean environments (e.g., sterile cleanrooms).
The success of the sample preparation procedure depends heavily on the quality of the swab tip, filter and other consumable materials used in the assay analysis. The use of the highest quality, properly made, pre-wetted polyester swabs ensures that the external contamination observed in subsequent assays does not originate from the swab.
